Children and Adolescents
Approach
My goal is to foster skills in children and adolescents that lead to improvement in areas where weaknesses or difficulties are present. This includes teaching them to handle conflicts and implement tools to enhance their emotional well-being in their daily lives. Additionally, I provide parents with the necessary support to address the various challenges they face while raising their children, using appropriate strategies tailored to each case.
How It Works?
I employ precise tools such as interviews and specific assessments. I develop an action plan that incorporates key strategies tailored to each case. Additionally, I ensure that parents are equipped with effective resources, and I maintain constant monitoring of the case’s progress.
Steps Considered
Initially, the process begins with an interview with the parents in which we explore various areas of the child or adolescent’s functioning, as well as the reason for seeking consultation. In subsequent sessions, meetings are arranged with the child or adolescent, during which they should always be accompanied by their guardian, even if the guardian doesn’t necessarily need to be present in the session for privacy reasons. Once the elements to work on are identified, an action plan and follow-up are established, involving both children and parents, while we also carry out assessments to measure their progress.
Issues Addressed in My Sessions
I can address a wide range of issues in my sessions, including:
Behavioral disorders, conduct disorder, antisocial personality disorder, bullying and cyberbullying, abuse and maltreatment, substance abuse, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive impulse control disorders, intermittent explosive disorder, emotional disorders, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, social phobia, trauma and stress-related disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, self-harm, low self-esteem, learning and academic difficulties, school adjustment, academic failure, autism spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), adjustment disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating and feeding disorders, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, obesity, sexual orientation, others.
I am here to provide support and guidance for a wide range of challenges and issues that children and adolescents may face.
Indicators that may lead you to seek help.

Impulsivity, aggression, disobedience, threats, lies, physical fights, bullying, abuse, fraud or theft, vandalism, delinquency, use of knives and/or firearms, and other concerning behaviors.
